Biography
I am pursuing a Joint Degree MA in Translation, Interpretation and Localization Management. My course work and interactions with industry leaders have taught me the importance of interpretation in bringing people together and empowerment. This is why I chose it as my area of focus.
Areas of interest
I am interested in how medical interpreters can empower immigrant patients in a medical setting in the US.
Project description
I will be working with licensed medical interpreters to find better ways to bring attention to increase patient advocacy, medical interpreting accessibility, and general awareness of medical interpreting. My final deliverable might take the form of a podcast or webpage as a call to action.
