Sophie Auvin


I am a recent graduate from Hamilton College currently pursuing a master’s in TESOL from MIIS and working as a program associate for IREX. Since beginning my master’s degree at MIIS, I have been based in Lima, Peru where I live with my partner and our cat.

Areas of interest

My primary interests are world politics, international education and development, foreign languages, and social movements.

Project description

I am interested in the intersection of multilingual classroom spaces and conflict transformation. Specifically, my project aims to understand the role of bilingual Spanish and Quechua classrooms in Peru as spaces of conflict transformation.
